Grandma Rena's Chocolate Chip Cookies

I don't even want to tell you how long these cookies last in my home...

It's a problem, but a very delicious one.

2 1/2 c. Flour

1 tsp. Baking soda

1 c. Brown sugar, packed

1/2 c. Sugar

1 c. Unsalted Butter or

3/4 c. Oil

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 large Eggs

1 bag of Chocolate Chips

Preheat the oven to 190/375 degrees.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl and set aside.

Using a mixer or hand beaters really makes a difference. If you don't have don't worry they'll still be yummy.

Beat butter/oil, and brown sugar. Add in the white sugar and the eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla and beat until creamy.Gradually mix in the flour mixture and chocolate chips. I like to use a spatula for this part.

Using the whole bag of chocolate chips really makes a difference- after all they are

Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Using a medium sized ice cream scoop drop a nice sized ball onto an un-greased baking sheet.

I usually go for big cookies but you can make them whichever size you like.

Bake for 9-11 minutes.

If you're like me and prefer your cookies soft and really chewy don't wait for them to get golden. Take them out when they look fully formed and let them finish cooking out of the oven.
