Any Berry Pie
The original recipe for this pie is Strawberry Rhubarb however over the years I've used pretty much any fruit I had and it's never a fail.
4 c. Flour
4 tsp. Baking powder
1 1/2 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract (1 packet of vanilla sugar)
1 c. Oil
1 package of frozen strawberries
1 package frozen rhubarb
1 Tbsp. Brown sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1/4 c. Sugar
Preheat the oven to 180/350 degrees and grease a round pie dish.
Mix all the pie crust ingredients in the order you see them in.
Mix till turns into a crumble.
Save about 2 handfuls for the top.
On the stove top add in all your fruit mixture ingredients to a sauce pan on a medium low heat.
Don't let it overcook.
While you're making the fruit mixture, shape your crust into the pie pan. Make sure there are no air bubbles and that the sides come up.
Bake for 5-7 minutes.
Pull out the rust and add in the fruit mixture. Try to hold back from allowing all the liquid to fill the pan. Crumble the rest of your crust on to the pie.
Bake for 25 minutes
